Three reminders-
1) POPCORN day is tomorrow during lunch so don’t forget your $1!! All money raised tomorrow will go towards our WEB ( where everyone belongs) program that allows our 8th graders to be leaders in the school and help out our 6th graders!
2) If you came to the Back to School Bash / Meet the Teacher Night, and filled out and turned in a bingo card, your student will be receiving a bracelet with their name on it for a free pj day on FRIDAY. (Everyone else must be in dress code or will be asked to change.) Thank you for a great start to school!!

What a GREAT first week! All grade levels met the 95% attendance expectation! We are getting back in the swing of things and starting this week we will be enforcing tardies-if your student arrives to school after 8am or is late to any of their classes during the school day. This is to ensure students are in class on time, accounted for, and ready to learn. Please talk with your student about getting to all classes on time and if they are going to be late or absent to school, please call 217-525-3170. Thank you!

Attention 6th graders interested in band this year: We are sharing a band teacher with JMS this year and our band teacher, Ms. Yockey, will be hosting a "Try Out and Instrument" event this Thursday, August 13 from 4pm-6pm at Jefferson Middle School- 3001 Allis St. Students will be able to test out instruments before making a decision.
