Wednesday, February 26 – Dress Like a Teacher Day Thursday, February 27 – Hat Day (All hats must be worn forward facing) Friday, February 28 – Red, Green, Gold/Yellow, and Black Day (Dress in the colors associated with Black History; Black-resilience, Red- bloodshed in the fight against racism, Green- natural resources and rich African greenery, Yellow- justice, optimism and equity for all)

Good morning Grant middle school families, Today we will start our 5-Essentials surveys. Attached is the flyer QR code that you can scan to complete the survey and link is below to complete your survey from your browser. As a district we need 20% to reach our goal but, it would be nice to get as many parent responses as possible. For each parent that completes a survey your name will be entered into a drawing for a prize and your student name will be added to the list to receive free popcorn or get a pass for hat day. These prizes will be given once the 5- Essentials survey has ended. It will be announced later when that date is. Developed by: The University of Chicago Consortium on School Research. Purpose: To identify strengths and weaknesses in a school's organizational structure and culture to inform improvement strategies. Who takes it: Students, teachers, and parents. Good afternoon GMS sports fans. Tonight's game against CTK has been moved to 5:00PM due cold temps 8th grade parents if you could arrive at 5:30 to get ready for 8th grade night we'd appreciate it! We hope to see you tonight!

Good afternoon GMS Sports fans. There is a location change for tomorrow's 6th grade girls volleyball game. The game will now be played at Ball Charter 2530 E. Ash Street. The game times remain the same with the B-Game at 9:30 and A-Game at 10:15. Good luck Generals!

Hello sports fans and athletes, Tomorrow's 7/8 Girl's Volleyball game at WMS has a slight change. The 8th graders will play first starting at 3:30 with 7th grade to follow. This will allow any WEB Leader at either school to leave after the game if they choose to help with 6th grade preview night.

Due to illness today's game at Athens had been cancelled. There will not be practice either. A make up date is TBD -Mr. Goss

GMS Central Illinois Food Bank Delivery Dates: February 13th March 13th April 10th May 15th (last delivery for school year) Food will be available for pick up to parents after 3pm. Pick up for the community after 3:30pm. Thanks Mrs. Castro

Reminder girls basketball open gyms will occur weekly on Saturdays from 12-2 and Sundays 2:00 to 4:00 unless announced otherwise. This is for all current girls basketball members and girls interested in playing next year.

Please join our Family and Community Engagement Team at Grant Middle School. Our next meeting is 1/28/25 from 5pm-6:30pm. Please come out and let your voice be heard. Our discussions will be about School celebrations, Our Attendance Policy and Our School updates in the building. Afterwards we will start our super fun Bingo Night. We look forward to seeing you there.

Students- Please log in to take your own attendance and check all canvas pages for assignments posted by your teachers!
