I hope you all had a restful, rejuvenating Spring Break and enjoyed the beautiful weather! We are so excited to see our students back in the classroom tomorrow. As we head into the final stretch of the school year, please remember that learning starts at 8:00 AM sharp!
📝 State Testing (IAR)
This week and next, students will be participating in the Illinois Assessment of Readiness (IAR). Because of this, consistent attendance is "ultra-important" to ensure every student has the time and support they need to do their best.
💻 Chromebook & Charger Reminder
To ensure all devices are fully charged and ready for testing, students will be keeping their Chromebooks at school for the duration of this week and the first part of next week.
Action Item: Please make sure your child brings their Chromebook charger to school tomorrow. We will keep them safely in the classroom to ensure no one is met with a dead battery on testing day!

Early to Bed: A full night’s rest is the best way to ensure students are alert and ready to focus.
Fuel Up: A healthy, protein-filled breakfast helps keep their energy levels steady throughout the morning.
On-Time Arrival: Arriving by 8:00 AM allows students to settle in and start their day without feeling rushed or anxious.
Words of Encouragement: A quick "you've got this!" or "just do your best" goes a long way in easing testing jitters.

Mark your calendars Wednesday 3/25 the 7th/8th grade volleyball team will take on their parents! Games start at 5:30PM. $2 entry for all with concessions available. Come out and support the volleyball program!

Monday, January 26, 2025 will be an e-Learning day. Teachers will be available via their Google Meet Link on their Canvas page from 9-11, but accessible all day by email. Students are expected to log in and take their own attendance (instructions attached in email) as well as check each Canvas page and complete assignments. Please call the school at 217-525-3170 if you have any questions. The scheduled volleyball game against LMS has also been cancelled. We look forward to seeing everyone back in person on Tuesday!
