I hope you all had a restful, rejuvenating Spring Break and enjoyed the beautiful weather! We are so excited to see our students back in the classroom tomorrow. As we head into the final stretch of the school year, please remember that learning starts at 8:00 AM sharp!
📝 State Testing (IAR)
This week and next, students will be participating in the Illinois Assessment of Readiness (IAR). Because of this, consistent attendance is "ultra-important" to ensure every student has the time and support they need to do their best.
💻 Chromebook & Charger Reminder
To ensure all devices are fully charged and ready for testing, students will be keeping their Chromebooks at school for the duration of this week and the first part of next week.
Action Item: Please make sure your child brings their Chromebook charger to school tomorrow. We will keep them safely in the classroom to ensure no one is met with a dead battery on testing day!
🌟 Testing Tips for Success
To help our students feel confident and focused during the IAR, we suggest the following:
Early to Bed: A full night’s rest is the best way to ensure students are alert and ready to focus.
Fuel Up: A healthy, protein-filled breakfast helps keep their energy levels steady throughout the morning.
On-Time Arrival: Arriving by 8:00 AM allows students to settle in and start their day without feeling rushed or anxious.
Words of Encouragement: A quick "you've got this!" or "just do your best" goes a long way in easing testing jitters.
Thank you for your continued support in making this a successful finish to the year. Let’s make it a great 4th Quarter!
Mark your calendars Wednesday 3/25 the 7th/8th grade volleyball team will take on their parents! Games start at 5:30PM. $2 entry for all with concessions available. Come out and support the volleyball program!

⏰ Applications are due THIS FRIDAY!
If your student does not turn in an application by Friday (no money needed yet), they will not be eligible to attend. If they need another form, please have them stop by and see Ms. Barnard.
💙 Worried about the cost? Scholarships are available! The scholarship form is attached to the application.
📬 Already turned one in? Great! Students will hear within the next few weeks if they’ve been accepted.
❓ Questions or concerns? Please reach out to Ms. Barnard anytime.
We hope you’ll consider sending your 6th grader to camp — students always have an amazing time and often come back saying it was one of their favorite middle school memories… even years later as adults!
