Summer EBT is a federally funded program that provides grocery-buying benefits to low-income families with school-aged children when schools are closed for the summer. The Illinois Department of Human Services administers Summer EBT with assistance from the Illinois State Board of Education. School Food Authorities can email sebt@isbe.net with questions. Households should contact IDHS for questions about benefit issuance, including lost or stolen cards.

Grant Middle School's AVID program is paving the way for college and career readiness! Today, our 8th-grade AVID students had an incredible opportunity to explore the University of Missouri campus. They immersed themselves in college life, met the iconic Mizzou tiger, and even participated in a fun fundraiser by 'pie-ing' a student!
This experience isn't just about a field trip—it's about igniting a passion for higher education and exposing our students to the possibilities that await them. Thank you to everyone who made this unforgettable day possible! 🎓✨ #AVIDAdventures #CollegeReady #FutureLeaders

Mt. Zion cancelled the meet for tonight. The track team is practicing at school today in lieu of the meet. They are able to ride the activity bus or be picked up at 4.

Come out to our monthly F.A.C.E meeting at GMS. We will be discussing next years School Compact, The school policy and the Face Action plan.

The Central Illinois Food Bank has partnered with GMS to provide our families with fresh fruits and vegetables weekly on Thursdays for the remainder of the school year. Students will be able to bring food home at the end of the day and parents will be able to come by the school on a first come first serve basis starting at 3pm. We are asking that only one of each item is taken per family so that many can benefit from this program.

We look forward to seeing everyone at our GMS spring music and art show tomorrow, Thursday, April 18, 2024. Doors will open at 5 pm to view art that students have made throughout the year and all musical performers are to be at GMS by 5:30pm. The musical portion of the show will start promptly at 6pm.

Just a friendly reminder that spring break starts tomorrow and there will be no school (Good Friday)! Student will return on Monday, April 8.
There will be no after school activities today, and therefore no activity buses.
We hope everyone has a fabulous and safe break!

Please join us for our Monthly GMS F.A.C.E meeting tomorrow from 5PM-6PM.

🎶 Don't miss out on the sweet sounds of our talented students at the All-City Musical! 🎵 Join us tomorrow night, March 26th, at UIS Sangamon Auditorium for an unforgettable musical extravaganza featuring performances from our middle school and high school choirs and bands. 🎼 This cherished musical tradition is one you won't want to miss!
